C2 Building Group completed the transformation of The Yard, a 50,000 SF creative office redevelopment located in the heart of Sorrento Valley, one of San Diego’s premier innovation hubs. This project reimagined an existing commercial building into a modern, indoor-outdoor workspace designed to attract today’s dynamic, collaborative tenants.

The scope included full interior and exterior demolition, followed by strategic improvements to support flexible office use. C2 built new core restrooms, refreshed the site with upgraded hardscaping and drought-tolerant landscaping, and installed sixteen roll-up exterior doors to seamlessly connect tenant suites to the central courtyard. A standout feature of the project is the custom trellis structure, which enhances the outdoor communal space and encourages year-round use. C2 Building Group managed all aspects of the site upgrade—from accessibility enhancements and modern exterior finishes to infrastructure adjustments that support tenant fit-outs. The Yard now offers a vibrant, highly functional office campus that blends creativity, flexibility, and lifestyle—all in one of San Diego’s most sought-after commercial submarkets.
